What Mother's Day means to me
Happy Mother's Day to all the loving women out there - mother or not! I think a mother is not always a woman, who has given birth. A mother is a woman, who has a heart full of love and care. A mother is also a woman, who could not give birth but has adopted and raised someone else's child as her own. A mother is also a woman, who never got married (and do not plan to get married anytime in the future), never gave birth, but who can go a long way for her nieces, nephews, orphans, and/or the children of her friends.
**I am a mother and I cannot fully relate to the celebration of Mother's Day, especially to the way it's been commercialized in recent years. Restaurants are even selling Mother's Day salads! Besides, I celebrate my mother every day, with every breath I take. My mother's birthday is way more important than Mother's Day to me. We all think differently and this is how I think and feel toward Mother's Day and the hooplas around it. I apologize, just in case I hurt anyone's feelings. ❤️
