About Me

Wara Karim: I dropped out of a doctoral program to raise my only child. Nay, I do not regret the decision. Parenting continues to be a rewarding experience for me. I studied business in undergrad and journalism in graduate school. Writing is my passion! I have been associated with the Bangladeshi English daily newspaper The Daily Star (www.thedailystar.net) for two decades. I also love to paint (watercolors only). And I run a YouTube channel called Golpo Paather Ashor, where I record Bengali audiobooks. I worked as a communications specialist for for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in the past.
